Russell (Iowa) Historical Society
A new building was constructed in 2002-2003 to house a library with a wide variety of books, and a computer resource center with internet access. Lynne Wilson is our librarian and computer instructor. Justine Abrahamson is our museum curator, showcasing many of the local family histories and items of historical significance to current and former Russell residents.
The building is located at 106 S. Prairie Street and is open Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to noon, available to all the public. Memberships are $15.00 for single, $25.00 for family, and $500 for lifetime membership.
