What could be more fun than a refreshing dip in the pool? A day at the Vredenburg-Chariton Family Aquatic Center!
Located adjacent to Bingham Park in Chariton, the center is filed to the brim with good, clean fun. With more than 13,400 square feet of water surface area, the 372,000-gallon pool has dozens of family-friendly features.
A 134-foot open flume water slide tops the list of attractions. A zero depth entry makes the pool friendly to disabled swimmers and children of all ages. Very young children will enjoy a shallow water fire truck slides, rain drop fountain and various sprays. Parents will especially like relaxing on the in-water seating.
There is also a six lane 25-meter lap lane area for serious swimmers and a three-meter high dive and a lower one-meter diving board.
Other amenities of the Vredenburg-Chariton Family Aquatic Center include plenty of sunshades for lounging out of the sun, family changing rooms, and a full-service concession stand with plenty of shaded seating.
