Chili Bowl Shootout and Salsa Challenge

The Chamber's third annual Chili Bowl Shootout saw lots of eating, lots of action and lots of fun for participants and spectators alike.  From a field of seven entries, Joe Milledge emerged as the 2008 Chili Champ.  Also, we added a new competition this year--Salsa Challenge, which was decided by a "people's choice" vote. The winning Salsa Challenge was Mary Dawson. The tournament finals saw the team from Chariton High School pull out a thrilling victory over the field of five teams.  The chili feed, basketball tournament and "celebrity experience" auction will help fund Chamber activities throughout the year.  Congratulations to chairperson Karen Wilker and all the volunteers for another successful event!
