2011 KID'S FALL CARNIVAL

The 2011 Kid's Fall Carnival was  October 22 and  it took much planning and volunteer assistance. The weather cooperated completely  and we had a fantastic turnout! We had games, popcorn,  caramel apples, a cake walk, balloons, a clown,  hundreds of costumed characters and the thanks to the Melrose Fire Department for letting us use the "Melrose Train". Thank you to all of our volunteers, the Community Betterment division and to those of you who attended. The success of our events are measured by how much fun you have and it looks like this year was another great triumph! Check out the pictures and plan to attend in 2012!

The winners of the costume contest are as follows: 0-2 year old division was Kassidy Young,  dressed as a "watermelon girl", second place was Lia Stone ,  dressed in Army clothes, complete with a baseball type cap. 3-5 year old winners were Avery Zern, dressed as "Captain America", and second place was Corbin Farrell , dressed as a "Pirate".  6-9 year old division was Dicen Brown, dressed as an "Zeus", and second place was Jackie Rodgers  dressed as a Blue  Cat.    10-12 year old division winner was Trinity Rodgers  dressed as a "Ninja" and second place was Kendall Irwin  dressed as "Skelecutey".
