Holiday Open House 2009

"Christmas Traditions" was the theme for  2009 Holiday Open House  November 27 and it took much planning and work.   The weather cooperated and we had a wonderful evening with a fantastic crowd.  We had live music on the Gazebo with Dalton and Auburn Storm The 1st place winner in the Adult Parade entry was Lucas County Shiner Club, and 1st place winner in the Children Parade entry was In-Motion Dance with their lighted float and dancers. 1st place winner for Peoples Choice award was Lucas County Health Center. Our Live Window displays winner was Parents and Children First & Public Health,  2nd Place winner was K-Dance,  and 3rd Place winner was Chariton Valley Players  in Chariton Vision window. The Memorial  Tree of Lights had new energy efficient lights in 2007 and each light  was in memory of an individual or in honor of individuals and was read by Debra Storm and Pat Hartz and printed in the booklet that was handed out.  The 2009 Miss Merry Christmas and Little St. Nick is Cheyenne Michael and Drew Swarthout.
