Chariton's Farmers Market

The new Chariton Farmers Market made its debut on May 26th on the east side of the courthouse lawn.  The Market is held on Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. and will run into October.  The focus of the market will be home grown produce, homemade food items and handmade crafts. The only requirement is that the product be grown or made by the vendor or someone in the vendor's family. The market became certified the last week of June 2008 and we have several vendors who are certified and are here every week.
